Wake Up and Praise God!
When we wake up in the morning the first thing we should do is praise the Lord for another day. What if God decided not to let the sunshine come by day, or the moon by night? We would live in complete darkness and struggle to stay warm. Thank God for His love toward us. It is so important to tell God “Thank You.”
Have you ever told a waitress or waiter “Thank you,” after each act of service? If yes, did you notice the special attention you received in comparison to other customers? If you have never done this, try it with all sincerity toward the receiver – appreciation truly works. Showing kindness and being courteous is a universal language. The same with God, He wants to be valued by His magnificent creation. Shout Hallelujah to the Great King!
The Other Side of Praise
The best time to praise God is when you’re going through life obstacles and hardships. Praising God will make you feel better and give you answers to your problems. God wants you to have an abundant life, filled with love, joy, peace and happiness. John 10:10 says, . . . I came that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. This is a promise to you from God. Although difficult at times, your blessings are on the other side of praise. God will fight your battles and lift you up on high, if you praise Him. Praising God is your secret weapon. Wake up and praise God.
Everything in Nature Sings the Praises of God
Every spring, we see flowers ready themselves to go from seed to splendor. Once in full bloom, the foliage sleeps the night away and each new morning lifts its array of beauty to the magnificent Creator – as to say, “Good morning God!”
The great fish of the sea twist, twirl, and dance to the sounds of the roaring sea, all before the Lord of Glory. With complete unity they swim together in harmony of praise. Fish of all colors, shapes and sizes — red fish, blue fish, yellow fish; whales, sharks, dolphins . . . these deep sea creatures join in unisonous to give God a single Hallelujah praise.
Let’s not forget the majestic birds of the air that wake up everyday singing praises to God with all sorts of sweet melodies, pitches and tunes. Their unique sounds are enjoyed by mankind, but really intended for God. As we can see, everything in nature bows its head and lifts its hands to God.
God Wants Your Praise
Out of all creation – God wants the praise of His Creation – Mankind. It’s time to give God the honor He is due. Psalms 150:6 say, Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord! This chapter is calling on all people, instruments, elements and stars to join in the celebration of God. This Psalms takes us to the mountaintop. Let us wake up and realize the importance of praising God.
